Sophia in her Halloween costume earlier this evening. As soon as we put the costume on her she went around saying, "AARGH!" We were dying laughing.

Ok...as a Simpsons fan I can't believe I hadn't done this sooner. Too funny...

Not that I think she's turning into a Daddy's girl, but Sophia did something yesterday that just about made my week.

We went to Ooey Gooey to pick her up last night after work. When we got there she was still outside playing with her little friends (she's made some little friends...one of them could be heard to exclaim, "It's Sophia!" when she arrived yesterday). So we gathered up her things and went outside to get her.

As soon she spotted me I heard her scream and yell, "DADDY DADDY DADDY!", and she was off running for me. I swear I don't think I've ever seen her run that fast. I squatted down and she literally threw herself into my arms and buried her face into my chest laughing and squealing with delight.

That, my friends, has got to be the best feeling in the world.



As it stands now it looks like we made the right choice bringing her to Ooey Gooey. She's allowed to be herself there and they don't seem phased by what most people would term "age appropriate" behavior. She comes home everyday in a different outfit than we brought her in. Usually due to the original being covered in some sort of rainbow of paint. But, that's OK, doing extra laundry and ruining a couple of shirts is a small price to pay to have my little girl happy and well cared for.
