The 50 Albums that Changed Music
Sunday, July 23, 2006, 10:19 AM - Life
This is really cool. I found this online this morning. The Observer newspaper out of the UK did a feature where they profiled the 50 albums that changed music.

50 Albums that changed music

I think the thing that surprised me is that this is the first of these kinds of lists where I pretty much agreed with most of the items on it.

Who can deny that Robert Johnson, Jimi Hendrix and Bob Dylan changed the face of music forever. There were a few albums on this list that I've never heard so I'll have to check them out.

Enjoy!

PS - Sophia and Mommy are doing awesome...as usual

Once a month is really not enough...
Monday, July 3, 2006, 08:55 AM - Life
I really have to get with it and update this site more often. I'm averaging one post a month and to be honest there is more stuff going on to justify more than one post a month.

Here is a recent photo of mommy and baby:

Erin's at work today and I'm home with the pee wee. She's unhappy right now. It's time for her morning nap.

Anyway...I'll post more as time permits.

Happy 4th!

I know I know I know...

I haven't updated in a while. Sorry, but life has been hectic. Sophia now has four teeth! It's a wonderful thing, but going through the last stages of them breaking through her gums was just awful. She was one grumpy baby.

She turned six months old on the 22nd of May. It's hard to believe. She's still a little tiny thing and it feels like just yesterday that we brought her home from the hospital.

Here's her 6 month portrait...

...and, yes, I took it. I've had so many people ask where we got it done that I've taken it as a big compliment that I can get better results than a studio.

Speaking of photography...

Erin and I discussed it and I'm going to try and make a go of it as a part-time photographer. It's something that I can do in my spare time to make some extra money and I love to do it anyway.

I've invested in some new equipment and here's a sample of the first pictures that I've taken with my new camera and lenses...

Why a cemetery? I had my new camera and lenses with me at work and I wanted to shoot some photos while on lunch. I tried to think of a place that would be quiet, scenic, and not too far away...the cemetery was all I could think of.

Hollywood is PISSING ME OFF!

What the f*ck! I don't know how I missed this, but I just found out that they remade The Omen!

Money grubbing bastards! Messing with a perfectly good movie.

Haven't they learned yet that you cannot remake a horror movie that was perfectly good the first time around and actually improve on it?

Let's see...remakes...

Texas Chainsaw Massacre...CRAP!
Psycho...Gus Van Sant jerking off...CRAP!
Amityville Horror...CRAP!

I think the only time this has worked was Cape Fear.

The only time I've seen a remake of a good movie was when they revamped the story and took it in a different direction. Good examples are...

Dawn of the Dead
The Ring

Why not remake movies that had potential but were crap. That would be cool.

Commies!
