Life
There's been a lot going on lately and I haven't gotten to post much recently. Erin and Sophia are well. Sophia has started creeping across the floor on her belly. It's soooo cute to watch. She is constantly amazing us. She's almost sitting up completely on her own...I'll have to get some pictures. She has such a personality on her. Just this afternoon we had a 20 minute bought of the giggles. I just kept looking at her on the changing table and kept saying, "Boo!" to her and she would just laugh hysterically. I love her little laugh. I'll have to see if I can record it.
There are more pictures of her here:
http://519photo.smugmug.com/gallery/1070347/9 I've created a My Space page. The link is in the sidebar to the left. I've also placed a link to Erin's My Space page there as well.
Things are busy and with my vacation coming up I'm looking forward to a bit of a break.
It's my birthday on Friday. 31 years old. Hmm...never thought about being in my 30's and now that I'm there it's a tad weird. No big deal I guess as I've still got a long way to go.
Ooh! Almost forgot! Erin, Sophia and I went to the Lilac Festival Parade this past Saturday with the Tripps (see their photo site
here). It was a lot of fun and I got the chance to take some great photographs.
Here's one of them:

Sophia loved the marching bands. Every time one would go by she would start kicking her legs, waving her little arms and squealing with delight. It was just a lot of fun.
One other quick story from that day...
While waiting for the parade to start two men (let's call them bible thumpers) walked up and down the parade route several times yelling about the sins of society and how the only way into heaven was through Jesus (Erin spoke up that she thought it was through the door *laugh*). I couldn't help but think that if these guys would put as much energy into helping people as they put into walking up and down a crowded street yelling at people who aren't listening the world would truly be a better place.
If there's one thing I know, it's that to truly walk the path of Christ one must bring charity to the less fortunate, tend to the sick, lift up those who have been pushed down and show love to those whom society has deemed least deserving of it. The key is compassion, forgiveness and love.
But, hey, what the hell do I know. I don't go to church, I tell Jesus jokes and my favorite t-shirt says
"WWJD for a Klondike Bar" on it.
Anyway...sorry if I got preachy...didn't intend to. It's just something that's been on my mind lately.
Got to run. Tired and I need to sleep.
Do me (yourself and someone else) a favor and be nice. A single act of kindness can start a chain reaction and change the world...or at least your little corner of it.
