New Site Update
Tuesday, February 17, 2004, 02:53 PM - Life
Didn't get much chance to make any additions...not that I'm particularly concerned. I'm taking my time trying to decide how the new site will look. I really do like this color scheme and I know that a properly designed site has a consistent theme/color.

Not to worry...still hoping for suggestions. I'd really like to get some of my newest photos posted by the end of this week. Especially the ones I've taken with my newest toy!

Peace, love and lasagna!

About the New Web Host
Tuesday, February 17, 2004, 03:01 AM - Life
Alright, I guess this requires a bit of explanation. So here goes...

I've been having my website hosted through Yahoo.com for the better part of four years now and I was under the impression that it was a good deal. Fifteen dollars a month and I was getting a website and email accounts. Then I started looking around and found that I was paying way too much for what I was getting. So I made the decision to move my website and my domain to another host.

I stumbled upon 1and1.com over the weekend while flipping through my latest issue of Maximum PC magazine. 4.99 a month and I could get 500MB of web-space and and host both this website and my future photography site. I'd be able to have separate email accounts for both domains and have all of my needs met and then some.

You may be asking yourself..."self...what is he going to do now?"

Okay...so maybe your not wondering what I'm going to do now. Alas, I am going to tell you anyway...like it or not.

I'm revamping the entire site. I'm getting rid of the crap and redesigning the good parts to make them better. Hopefully the whole thing will change for the better, but if not I'll be tearing it down and rebuilding it again in another year anyway.

Well, I've got to head off to bed. My eyelids are battling my will to stay awake and frankly I'm about to raise the white flag. I'll be adjusting and readjusting over the next couple of weeks and I don't know when/if I'll get it finished or at least in a publishable state, but I'm going to try.

Peace, love and Lasagna!

One Crazy Summer
Sunday, August 24, 2003, 08:30 PM - Life
Whew! What a summer this has been! I'm kind of glad that its all winding down. I haven't had much time since we got back from the honeymoon to make any updates until today. I posted a handful of pictures from the wedding and honeymoon. I'll be posting more as time permits. Also, we should have our pictures back from the photographer sometime this week and I'll be posting quite a few of those.

Some other things of note. As many of you know I am not a fan of George Bush...either of them. You may have noticed the Howard Dean banner on the home page. If you feel as I do about our current leadership in this country, do yourself a favor and check out Howard Dean's website. If half of his views are true he is head and shoulders above Bush. Most of all, no matter what your opinion, when election day comes...VOTE! It is not your right...it is your duty as a citizen to vote and be heard.

Interesting Stuff on the Web
Wednesday, June 4, 2003, 08:31 PM - Life
Just a quick update today. The move into the new apartment is going very well. I should be completely moved by the end of the day on Friday. Thanks to everyone that has helped. I'll post some pictures after I get a chance to get them developed.

A couple of interesting news articles that I found today:

The Future of the US Soldier from CNN. A very interesting look at the future of the US field soldier. Some of the stuff is way out there but a lot of it could be implemented within the next few years.

Weapons of Mass Disappearance from Time. An intriguing look at the over statement of Iraq's weapons capabilities. It is critical of the Bush administration, but after reading the facts that they present it is hard to argue against their point. Even if you agreed with the war you still have to wonder where all those WMDs that they made such a big deal about are. What are the consequences to our credibility as a nation if none or very few are found?

Dubya-nomics from Time. A great look at Bush's tax cut plan. It may work, but according to this article, it sure is an ass-backwards way to go about it.

Read 'em or not. It's your choice. I just like to provide a little of the things that I find interesting. I don't know when my next update will be so hang with me!

May 2003 - Part II
Friday, May 30, 2003, 11:30 PM - Life
Okay, so I've only posted twice during the month of May...I know. I've been a bit busy. Erin graduated from Brockport, it was our 2 year anniversary last Friday and we've been getting ready to move into our apartment. Speaking of which, we just signed the lease today and the manager there was nice enough to give us our keys a couple of days ahead of time so that we can get started early on Sunday without having to stop buy the rental office.

It's so overwhelming. I'm moving out on my own for the first time in my entire life. I cannot believe it! It's going to take some getting used to but I think I'll manage. The biggest thing is going to be simply getting used to having to wash my own clothes and cook my own meals. The grocery shopping thing is going to be a little weird at first too. I'm not used to having to buy the basics (i.e. eggs, bread, milk, OJ, lunch meat, and various others).

I've got to get going to bed. My next post will probably be in a couple of weeks. I'm moving into my apartment next week and I won't have internet available to me until the 13th of June. Once my internet service is up and running I have a ton of jokes and other fun things to post.
