We Must Continue The Fight
Wednesday, January 30, 2008, 09:30 PM - Rants
He made it official today. John Edwards dropped out of the race for President of the United States. I'm saddened that it has come down to this. It's unfortunate that more people couldn't hear his message. It was troublesome to watch how the major news outlets treated it as if there were only two candidates running for the Democratic nomination. Edwards got very little screen time and it scares me to think that Obama and Clinton seem to be campaigning to make history rather than make changes. I will support them, but only because I cannot stomach the thought of another Republican in the White House. I swear to God that I'll pick up the family and move to Canada if Mitt Romney or Mike Huckabee get elected. Those dudes scare the shit out of me.

Anyway...Even though Edwards is no longer running, his message still holds weight and merit. We must fight to fix the poverty problem in this country. We must fight to save the ever shrinking middle-class. If we can work on those issues there are others that will simply resolve themselves.

I'll get down off my soapbox now...but down be too relieved...I'll be back on it again soon!

Sophia Thompson...Poop Patrol!
Tuesday, January 22, 2008, 07:40 PM - Life
Funny incident today at Ooey Gooey.

Apparently Sophia took it upon herself this morning to check all the other kids in the class to make sure they hadn't pooped. She would walk up behind the unsuspecting child, pull down the back of their diaper and if she found no poop she'd say, "No poopies, ok" and move on to the next child.

He teachers, while not encouraging it, found it hysterical and made sure to let me know when I picked her up this afternoon.

Oh, and I almost forgot...her mission to find poopies was, thankfully, unsuccessful.

:-P

Diary of a 2 Year-Old Cult Leader
Friday, January 18, 2008, 12:04 AM - Life
I really think it's true. I really do believe that my dear little sweet Sophia has started a cult at school.

The other day I brought her in, got her settled in the morning room, gave her a banana and went to put away her stuff. When I returned to give her the rest of her breakfast I found her sitting quietly, eating her banana with a smug little satisfied smile on her face, surrounded by 3 other children who were loudly chanting, "SOPHIA SOPHIA SOPHIA SOPHIA!!!"

I can see it now... 20 years from now my little Sophia is holed up in a compound battling it out with the ATF...

:-o

ugh!

We're at 37 weeks. Erin's ready for Molly to come out. Very uncomfortable, but still trying to look on the bright side of things...

...but she still makes a beautiful picture.

Molly will be here any day now...I'll post as soon as I can after she gets here.

Lovely, isn't she?
